Registration and testing of children for Upper Kindergarten only take place towards the end of the scholastic year. A candidate who has attended a recognized school cannot be admitted without a transfer certificate from the school he/she last attended. Inter-State transfers require the counter-signature of the Deputy Secretary of the council either located at Calcutta or Delhi or the District Education Officer of the place where the previous school is located. Christian pupils must also produce their Baptism Certificate.
A strict but kind discipline is exercised. Respect for authority is essential. Students of the senior school together with the faculty are responsible for the good order of the school.

In 2005 Saurabh Chatterjee, cleared the IIT-JEE, one of the most challenging entrance exams in the country with a brilliant All India Rank of 14. He carried forward the tradition set by Kumar Kapil (IIT JEE RANK 4) and Suddha Kalyan Basu (IIT JEE RANK 11) both in 2001. In the recent past students like Ayon Gupta, Bharadwaj Pilaka, Bishwanath Panda, Sushmita Pilaka, Vibhanshu Abhishek, Anisha Trivedi, Abhishek Sahoo, Priya Mishra,Vedayana Tripathy, Bhabna Das , Sreekanth Tippanahave, Pranjal Kishore, Nitish Ranjan and Dheeraj Kumar have done their alma mater proud by winning laurels at international and national competitions.
The school boasts of a high number of students scoring 90+ aggegrate in the board exams every year. Success rate is nearly 99% and its a rarity that a student fails in the board exam.
